TOYX, Inc.’s mission is to acquire, preserve, maintain, display, interpret, and operate historic railroad equipment and other vehicles to benefit and support the communities it serves.
OUR PROJECTS
TOYX uses its historic railcars to run Operation Toy Train across multiple railroads throughout the U.S. during the holiday season. These special annual trains collect over 50,000 toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation and other toy drives, which redistribute the toys to less fortunate children. It is one of the largest toy collection campaigns in the United States.
TOYX operates the Port Jervis Railroad Museum at the historic Erie Railroad turntable site in Port Jervis, New York. Over two dozen pieces of historic railroad equipment from the region are on display around the operable 1927 turntable. Exhibits are typically open on weekends from May to October, and the site hosts several special events during the year.
