The Port Jervis Railroad Museum will have its railroad equipment open to the public for the first day of the 2026 season from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The museum boxcar (with an all-new exhibit on Port Jervis railroad history), Conrail caboose, and Chessie caboose will be open to the public.
The museum is also unveiling its recently restored Erie Lackawanna caboose C380, repainted in the EL’s original 1976 Bicentennial scheme. We are also introducing bottled Erie Lackawanna BBQ Sauce for sale, made to the original 1965 recipe. Proceeds benefit our ongoing restoration efforts.
Turntable demonstrations, visiting vehicles, and burgers and hot dogs from our “Beyond the Budd” grill are all highlights of this event! Admission is free, but donations to support our nonprofit activities are highly encouraged.
Taking a train to Port Jervis for the event? Our entrance is just 650 feet from the train station! Check the train schedules for July 4th.
